Tool of the day

First off I am new to this forum and in relativity to most if not all of u guys new to flying, I have been really enjoying this thread the past few days and today I did something that I feel like a bit of a tool about.
I was doing pattern-work at the local international apt, on the way back I asked my flight instructor if I could flyover my house...I couldn't help myself...feel like a bit of a tool, if not a complete noob, or both...was really fun though :)

I fly over my house all the time. How else would I check for strange cars parked in the driveway when I'm on a trip??

Flying over your house is awesome. Not tool-ish. It's the kind of thing that makes flying fun.

Then it's okay to act like it's the equivalent of a Nazi uniform.

Presumably this isn't the uniform your wearing to get the cashier excited.

If so, that raises many questions.

Just sayin'...

Hahaha, no, it's not that. But assuming he wore this to a supermarket in Leipzig, I'm sure he'd be getting laid.:D

This is true

In all seriousness, this. It's so cool seeing the things you had only seen from the ground for years and years. Subliminally, it helps teach you navigation, too. I would routinely have students find their way to various landmarks they were familiar with and wanted to see.

On intro flights, students would mostly want to see their house (as did I on mine)!

I hear that guy is a real stickler on grammar. I wonder what people would refer to him as...

How do you lose to the Rams?

Yea, I guess it just felt weird cuz my house is in class c airspace and it was the first time in my flight experience that I've done it, it's all learning though! Never flown without learning and I'm sure I never will! :)
