Default And the winner is . . .

Today's TOTD is APC user 'ShyGuy'.

Check out the thread on SWA's nose gear collapse in LGA. His posts start on Page 2 . . . and keep going . . . and going . . .

Thanks for the bulletin Sandlapper. I never stop taxiing when called with "Someone got up and went in the LAV". I just say, "OK, thanks, I'll be very careful." (like always).

Pilots who immediately begin talking on a new frequency without waiting a second to see if anyone else is already talking.

Yup, I know I've made it in life when I got the TOTD nomination on APC. Damn you all for waiting until 424 pages to get to me.

That is a classic situation that seems to have been around forever.

Oddly though, I seem to remember this occurring more back in the 70’s into 80’s. Though, maybe I just don't hear as well as I used too.

Here's a question for discussion........How long is the proper time to wait?

I generally wait until someone starts talking and then start my check in with "aaaaaannnnnd Center" followed by a long description of ride conditions, next clearance point, followed by a lengthy request. Works for me.
