The paper pushing headquarter weenie that feels that more PAs = better customer service. In addition to the normal stuff, I have to now listen to an effing gate agent not only thank me just prior to push, but also welcome me to my destination once we arrive.

Thank you to the pilots and flight attendants that just do the regulatory stuff and leave it at that. :)

(this rant is from a commuter's POV, so I realize I'm probably more sensitive than a passenger would be)

Also, it's funny when you all think I'm not smart enough to "get it." Thanks, too, for the jab about my job. Yet, I'M the one who's been called a man and pilot hater. Gotta laugh at the irony! Thanks for that, Scambie..... You have a magical day! :)

Grammar and spelling DOES matter. I'm with all the "Grammar Nazis". It embarrasses me when guys smart enough to be pilots can't even bother with a spelling checker.

As one might guess, the British rule is different. ;)

In the United States, periods and commas go inside quotation marks regardless of logic.
In the United Kingdom, Canada, and islands under the influence of British education, punctuation around quotation marks is more apt to follow logic. In American style, then, you would write: My favorite poem is Robert Frost's "Design." But in England you would write: My favorite poem is Robert Frost's "Design".

It drives me nuts when my Microsoft Word keeps green lining words every time I put the periods after the quotation marks.

Stupid American program :p
