My personal fave welcoming speech: "We hope you enjoy your stay in Boston, or wherever your final destination may take you."

Your destination doesn't "TAKE" you anywhere. Your destination is where you ARRIVE. Either say "wherever your final destination may BE", or "wherever your TRAVELS may take you".

I know it's supposed to sound whimsical, but it really just sounds stupid.

To the AE(Envoy) pilot waiting to be picked up for the DFW training center yesterday. Hipster looking tennis shoes, coupled with skinny jeans and a un-tucked white V neck tee shirt and the oversized Ricky Martin looking shades on. Oh, the sun had gone down. But wait, there is more. Because of previously mentioned V neck, a very nice display of tattoos displayed on lower neck and chest, kinda gangster style. Not exactly what I consider a good look for our profession. On the other hand, maybe I was just grumpy after a 4 leg day + commute and waiting 45 mins in baggage claim.

I bought a house at the end of a one-way street. Then I couldn't get home.

Guess if there's not a dress code for travel to training, there should be. Honestly, what the hell is so difficult about wearing a pair of decent pants, a collared shirt and regular shoes????

Gotta give management some blame on this as well as it seems some airlines don't enforce their uniform (and other) regs. Why is it that Delta pilots always look good? Have to give a shout out to ExpressJet as well. (at least the ones I've seen in IAD at both the airport and hotel.) Most are very young, but manage to look very nice and professional. :)

Isn't that the Chief Pilot?

Most people probably wouldn't know he was a pilot. If he isn't in uniform who really cares? Ps. A lot of sju people love Ricky Martin
