clueless enough to stand at the end of a walkway or foot of an escalator generally doesn't have enough brain cells to respond in a timely manner to a yelled warning. I do always remember to say "excuse me" post-contact.

How about the people who try and force their way onto an elevator or subway car before the people trying to get off have a chance. They're just as bad.

My favourite are those east of china, west of the US with their selfie sticks, oblivious to the rest of the world wondering aimlessly without a care in the world careening off others walking in the opposite direction without so much as an "Excuse me".
