A frigging' Great Dane.

They cried about getting a seat blocked between them for the dog (or pony as I describe it). Contract agents were bamboozled and were blocking it.

Fortunately, the employee traveling on standby had an "emotional support" Captain to knock off the BS. The employee got on.

Wow. I agree this support animal thing needs to be reigned in.

No one complains about my emotional support dolphin. At least not to me.

But what about my emotional support tarantula?!?

We need to coordinate travel because my emotional support tarantula hawk won't get along with your emotional support tarantula. We don't need to both be emotionally distressed.

Simple solution... other than seeing eye dogs... trains and cars are probably a better means of transportation for these "special needs" passengers. After all, there's always a "rent-a-jet" operation that won't turn away their business.

Actually, miniature horses can be considered Service Animals. In fact, according to the ADA, only dogs and miniature horses are service animals. All this other fake stuff you see about "emotional support" turkeys, etc., is BS, the the horse thing is legit and has the same rights as a service dog.

Not that I'd want to sit next to it, though...

Not sure how the ADA regs trump safety in regard to unrestrained objects like that horse. I wouldn't have flown it based on that.

In my case, somehow the G.D. folded itself underneath their legs and under the seats in front of them. If they were in the bulkhead row, I would have said no ride due to the forecast MDT chop forecast.

On another related "Tool" note. I've heard of another type of passenger that has attempted to bring their "emotional support" animal onboard.

Armed LEO's. (100% not Service or LEO/MIL dogs)

In the case I've heard, the CA said NFW.
