Why do so many people not button up their jacket / blazer?

Yes, it's a uniform not a tweed jacket on a professor. Wear it right or take it off.

Several years ago at a Wendy's drive thru in CLT on the way home from a trip the window person asked me how they could get into a job as mall security.

A neighbor in my apartment complex when I lived in CLT thought I was a flight attendant. I let that one ride for as long as I lived there. Didn't want to make the effort to explain to him the difference.

For the uniform nazis around here: last week I did the walk around without my reflective vest on. You will all be surprised to learn that neither myself or the aircraft spontaneously exploded. Just letting you guys know.

Always. Never. Don't be a nerd and button both buttons. Top only. It's bad enough wearing short sleeves with a (clip on) tie is accepted in this profession.
