Good evening, I have just rejoined this forum. My name is Ryan O'Neill and I have just retired from the Air Force after 22 1/2 years of service. I have over 4000 hrs of combined single engine jet/twin turbo- prop/707 heavy (E-3) time. I have flown 8 different airframes and have been PFT instructor, combat support pilot, Search and Rescue pilot and lastly an AWACS aircraft commander with 300 hours combat time. I am studying for my ATP with the goal to get hired by a Major.

Since I cannot access any other forums, I'll just ask here. I am currently about half way through my private pilot training and was wondering how many dual cross-country flights I should have before going on my solo cross country. My instructor is trying to meet my requirements in two days this weekend, but I want more multiple shorter flights to gain more experience. What does anyone else think?
Thanks!

I'm currently working for Pinnacle Airlines as a Captain, soon to be downgrade to First Officer, soon to be laid off. I'd like to get some more information on foreign airlines and hopefully find a stable job.

Hello. I am an Evaluator in the C-17 for the USAF. Thinking of leaving active duty in 3 years when my commitment is up.
