I agree with the article. I've witnessed the emasculation of men in most of the tv commercials you see these days. Usually a "strong", "smart", wife with her arms crossed shaking her head in disgust at her dumb, overweight balding husband who has managed to tangle himself up in the window shades again.

As a female I've seen those type of commercials and wondered if the pay these men were getting was enough to justify doing such a commercial.

LOL FDX.
In a humorous mood today are we ?

From the article:
a culture where men are having trouble being men: females struggling alone to lift a heavy suitcase into the overhead compartment on a plane all the while surrounded by men who pretend they don't see.
This wouldn't be a problem if those females checked in that heavy suitcase!

I have met many of you and I can say none are any where near being emasculated in any way.

Oh they're out there and some are even pilots AND ex-military! Their wives don't allow the viewing of Family Guy or other distasteful shows, don't allow alcohol to be consumed in the home and won't let hubby anywhere near the kitchen. She will, however, allow him to vacuum daily. The sad part is the schmuck actually let her get away with it for years, and still does. (and they aren't Mormon, btw).

I'm sure some of you have worked this this type. You know, the Captain who always lets you know HE'S boss and doesn't have many friends because he's such a miserable bastard to be around...

Last time I checked, Mormons still keep the man firmly in charge.

Very interesting. 'Twould be nice if the other side of the story were presented once in a while. So much for "open minds" or "open dialogue."

I know my educational history has been absolutely one sided. :/ Part of the problem is that merely suggesting ideas that go against feminist tenets are immediately cast aside.

It's the next generation of men that I'm worried about.
