It is tragic that your life sucks so much. 99% of the people I fly with seem really happy these days... Maybe LNL is right. maybe YOU are the problem.

"Maybe" LNL is right?" Sweetheart, I'm ALWAYS right.....

I'm not singling out the Chip or anyone else, for that matter BUT isn't it ironic that those who constantly rag on FAs and begrudge older ones being on board are the ones who ALWAYS seem to have bad experiences? We may be less educated than you sky gods BUT are pretty good are reading people. It also doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if you treat people nicely and with respect, you USUALLY get the same in return. I have flown all around the world on commercial airlines for over 2 years on many different airlines and can count on 1 hand the bad experiences with a FA(s) I have had.

Being a FA I will tell you this little secret, be polite (whether you're a customer OR deadheader or jumpseater.) Howz about a "Good morning, how are you? How's it going? Please and thank you." Oh and a smile!!!!! You'd be amazed at how far that will get you. Being a jackass, ESPECIALLY IF THEY KNOW YOU'RE A CREW MEMBER, doesn't do anything to help your cause. In fact, quite the opposite. do you know how frustrating and unnecessary it is for a FA to tell a JS'er to turn off his electronic devices...especially MORE THAN ONCE. It's almost like some of you think there are one set of rules for you and one set for everyone else. NOT COOL....and only makes it more difficult to handle the "monkey see, monkey do" mentality that ensues. BTW, NOT just ragging on pilots either (as I do like 99% of you guys), it's other FAs, CSRs, etc.

Tsquare is right, the entitlement mentality in this country is out of control. You don't see it anywhere else on such a widespread basis. That said, I'm sooo glad I work charter!

LNL76, I've been reading your defense of your profession. I'd ask this; why do you think airlines like Cathy Pacific, Singapore, Virgin Atlantic, and Emirates win the hearts and minds of the traveling public? And while pondering that; why do you think the likes of UA, AA and USair have received so much bad press regarding the quality of their product?

There's A LOT more to US carriers receiving bad press about their product than the FAs employed there. Do you REALLY want to compare Middle East airlines who are government funded and who engage in discriminatory (in the US) hiring and employment practices? Do you think being nickle and dimed by the US carriers for baggage, food, extra leg room, earlier boarding, etc. is something the FAs should be blamed for?

BTW, how is your avatar allowed? I had one with a CARTOON of a lady bending over showing her butt and I received an infraction......

…and the ever-present class-warfare of Flight Deck vs. FA battle rages on.

Guess it’s time to set up some MMA matches and get some resolution between the groups. Elimination rounds with a final caged-event should do the trick. Now that is one PPV event I would pay to see!
There will have to be a warning advisement posted though advising of how gruesome this event can be.

I see they opened the gate back up to the O.K. corral.

LNL76; nothing wrong with that!

Its back to the verbal-judo contest I guess.

I'm just an observer. I could never compete in this professional match.
