I've always found that extraordinary difficult to believe. Scheduling programs are no sooo engrossing that you would miss the multitude of cues that you were approaching your destination. As far as I'm concerned they fell asleep. And if that true. Thanks a lot guys! You could have changed our profession for the better. I bet pt 117 would be different if they had admitted it.

what really bailiffs me is that they didn't admit what happens even after they for fired. If they did fall asleep in the cockpit maybe our hours would be different

I don't believe a cell phone camera is prohibited. The regs speak about wireless ENABLED devices. While a cell phone is in airplane mode it is a wireless DISABLED device. I believe any lawyer can make that case and win.

Good, db's that take selfies on the flight deck should be called out for being gigantic tools, I have a few Facebook friends that do it regularly, oh you're an airline pilot? Cool story bro everyone knows and nobody cares cause your friends are all pilots too.

Yeah no kidding.
I always cringe when I see the people on Facebook that have their companies logo plastered all over their FrontPage. Can't forget the typical "my office" pic.

Also if you fly for us airways you don't fly for American airlines, least not yet.

FWIW

There's a selfie category in this years Av Leak photo contest, as well as an approach pic (non-US).

"FAA: Cockpit Photos Are OK -- Maybe"

(AvWeb, 12/15/14, M. Grady) A widely cited story posted on the blog Quartz on Friday raises the question whether airline pilots who post aerial photos online are violating FAA rules against using "personal wireless devices" in the cockpit, but the FAA told AVweb picture-taking is OK with them -- as long as pilots use the proper equipment. "A pilot at the controls is permitted to take a picture with a non-wireless camera and not be in violation of this regulation," the FAA wrote in an email. "However, a pilot at the controls is not permitted to take a picture with a cell phone." Tablets and personal computers also are not permitted, and no photos of any kind are allowed during aircraft operations when the "sterile cockpit rule" is in effect, typically below 10,000 feet.

If they were doing it all the time I could understand but c'mon, they are excited. They probably just got out of a crappy paying job in which hard work and sacrifice paid off. Let them celebrate or boast a little bit.

But if that's all they ever talk about, well then that's different.

He is going to **** off a lot of pilots and make it really hard for himself to fly. He is the definition of a TROLL!!

The real DB is one that tries to assign a political association where none exists.

So just a follow up; it's been over a month since this turd burgler dropped names. Did any of those pilots recieve any disciplinary action as a result, or was this just his "15 minutes of fame"?
