Damn, I got 150 in a C172 straight and level. I'd post the picture but I have no clue how.

Took off from orlando ex. in a 172sp into a strong cold front, headed to jackson Miss. It took 7.6 hrs. With 2 fuel stops. The next day we took off and climbed to 12k and had a g/s of between 189-193 until kocf when we had to start our desent back into orlando. it took 3.9hrs with no fuel stops. I did the flight plan before hand and checked the winds aloft, but honestly did not believe what they were saying!! WX is quite an amazing thing....

Tailwinds are awesome, but headwinds suck! I was going as slow as 75 knots once in level cruise in the 172R.

btw, anyone ever slow flight backwards before? I wonder what's the fastest speed backwards in a cessna lol

75 kts in a 172 isn't bad, try 115 in a C310(TAS was 180) I was at 4000 in the lowest winds.

I was able to maintain a GS of 0 once. I haven't been able to fly backwards though.
