I have a problem with it because it glamorizes their job and is a recruiting tool for Ryan air. Their cadet program is everything that's wrong with aviation. The only get paid when they fly, there is no base pay. They pay for a type rating that takes over two months to complete with again zero pay, they do IOE for two more months with no pay again, and on top of that they are contractors not employees.

This picture they paint looks so amazing but its not reality and unless they're parents are subsidizing they're adult kids I have no idea how these pilots are even eating let alone taking kite boarding lessons.

Apparently one of the "Marias" has a dad that is a SAS captain. Why he didn't strongly advise her against this pay to play model in these times blows me away.

Maybe he wanted to transfer all the yoga poses and goofy faces from his living room to some other location.

Oh, and there's a differernce in a selfie and a moronic pose making a stupid face or flashing some hand signs. C'mon boys (and girls)....you're not a frat boy anymore. Jesus. It turns my stomach and inspires VERY little confidence to see someone I should look up to posing like an idiot.
Thank-you, well said.
The pouty lips pose, "I'm sad because it's raining" was especially cringe worthy. You're supposed to be a professional now, how about not acting like a 5 yr old when in uniform. Franky I'm kinda surprised the employer is OK with all the flight deck nonsense being posted up for all to see.

It's a big world out there, why are some of you butt hurt over someone else enjoying their lives?

Act like a professional. You're not that cool...even though the other 53 likers of your photo may lead you to believe otherwise.

Because it perpetuates the pay to play no pay part of the cadet program at Ryan air. That devalues our profession and hurts us all.

You think? Think again. Take a "selfie " and post it? They're are many of us that "think" only a self absorbed doosh would do that.

Your generation of thinking and rationality is going to be a dying breed. The millennials will be parents to the new set of offspring who will get their standards from the millennials. It'll be a new generation of entitled brats who'll think the world revolves around them.
