Keep in mind that ADS-B is vertically polarized, so the dipole should be vertical.

The case just holds the components. Think of it as buying a computer case for a PC and then adding a motherboard...just on a much smaller scale.

There are many cases that will hold a raspberry Pi but the one being commercially made for this setup is by far the most elegant solution in my opinion. The option on Amazon is just a simple abs plastic job...but its half the price.

I was thinking about building one of a cigar box.

I purchased the Stratus S2 to go with Foreflight, backup AHRS. It's expensive but worth every penny.
