Nope.. we specifically and purposely picked an a/c that wouldn't be able to fly the leg for 3-6 months of the year... we purposely decided to reduce our revenue, and bump passengers.

You’ve heard of 737’s at airlines named Aloha, Delta, and Alaska? Not uncommon for airplanes to underperform.

The A321 neo burns roughly 4000-5000 lbs of fuel an hour , it can take 52,000 lbs of fuel on a full tank. That thing can stay aloft for 10 hours before the engines quit.

I get what you're saying. However, most of these airlines use their 737's for other than mainland to Hawaii in the winter (Aloha had no choice with the a/c they had at the time.)... That Alaskan 737 also goes up and down the West Coast and makes its way East all week long. A little lost revenue for a turn to Hawaii mid pairing won't hurt them as bad.
We specifically do nothing but 4-6hr flights with these planes... With todays technology and data I would be shocked and disappointed if our management didn't research this.
We fuel our NEO's to maybe half full +/- for those flights.
