Sorry, I guess I didn't realize what you were asking. That's your answer then.

Clarification please.....

I grasp that seniority is based on SSN however, I thought I read some successful applicants posting they received their aircraft designation prior to class. Did I misinterpret some posts, and if not, how is aircraft selection determined if you know before class?

When Hawaiian emails you your class date, they will ask for your aircraft preference and last 4 social. After you send an email back accepting the class date and the info, they will email back with your tentative aircraft assignment once everyone else in the class replied.

I understand that seniority within the class is based on last four of Social Security #.......with the lowest number being most senior......is that correct?

I was also surprised to see so many new hires going into the 330. Is that common?

PS: thanks to those of you who took time to answer my last question. I really appreciate the info.

Keep in mind that the tentative aircraft assignment email with your class date is not for sure .

Your official bid is done on paper your first day of class. Whatever the email says does not matter until you bid In class.

I was tentatively going to one airplane but when we did the bid I got another fleet . Which was ok. But know this before you have your heart set on an airplane.

Also usually every class will have some A330 slots , that’s been the norm lately.

Who is more senior? The one with the lowest or highest 4last of ssn?
In my current company is
00XX = most senior
99XX = most junior
What is in Hawaiian like?
Just curiosity, honestly I am dying for those $36 hourly first year
