Hawaii 8.25% plus 4.712% VAT (sales taxish)

If you want to live on the left coast, you will be paying a lot of money to the government...
The VAT is more insidious as it taxes every transaction, not just the final sale, so the maker pays tax on ingredients, the distributor pays a tax, the final customer pays the tax, so it's charged multiple times.

Default Hiring Numbers

Hello all, sorry to be that guy...I just applied in the window a couple days ago and have a couple questions.

Anybody have any idea as far as how many they’re hiring and how many may have applied during the window?

What are they really hiring at? I’m sitting at 3100 TT, ~750 121 TPIC, and a college degree.

Thanks!

Vacancy Bid came out today. Hiring 19. Likely 717 and 321 after the award. Good luck!

Do you happen to know how long after the app window closed that they start contacting people? Just curious

JV didn't go fully through. Will this change hiring needs?

Curious too. Seems like if it’s a positive reply, reply comes 5-10 days after the window is closed. If it’s a negative reply, about 4 weeks later or so...

Looks like the anti-trust immunity was denied but JV approved. Translation? Yay or nay?

What's the point of having a JV without Antitrust immunity? Is it just an enhanced codeshare?

I guess it would mean you can coordinate schedules but not set prices....

Nobody knows, they were vague on flying. I think it mentioned going back to Fukuoka and other destinations in Japan. But probably wouldn't have changed hiring that much
