I haven't heard of any changes there. Only 767 and 717 get hotel/per diem while they are at sim(since it's not at HNL.)

Are these the proposed rates in the first year of the contract, so one can assume add 3% to the rates for each subsequent year?

I don't know the exact number. Approximately 10-15 during the negotiation phase? It's a guesstimate. The elephant in the room is the number of pilots that are applying (have applied), have received an offer, and are standing by to make a career decision to stay at HAL or move on to something more promising. Based on second hand information (for what it's worth) the Flight Division has received anywhere from 15-20 PRIA requests from other airlines....so draw your own conclusions. At the end of the day, I wouldn't let that affect your decision, focus on the TA and work rules, and make the decision that best fits you. If you like $36/hr in your first year and understand that at least for probably the next 5-6 years HAL will not pay you a housing allowance or cost of living allowance for living in arguably the most expensive city, come on down, your the pilot they are looking for.
