Sign of the times is that experience seems to be a detriment... Or I'm just unhireable......

Actually, there may be some truth in that statement. Hawaiian does not want guys bailing at the first mainline Legacy to call. While this latest TA made great strides forward, to truly be in line with DAL/UAL, you would need to be +25-30% over to account for the astronomical cost of HNL. (ala paradise tax). An amazing airline, but not for everyone to be sure.
