Thanks. I think I get it now.

Correct me if I'm wrong: It's up to the company whether I qualify for upgrade to CA after being with them for a time... e.g. I built up to 1500TT, got my ATP, then up to 2500TT or whatever they deem necessary for CA?

Once you get 1500, you can upgrade...if they approve it.

On the Scenic application it asks if you've ever failed a Part 91, 121, or 135 checkride.

What is a Part 91 ride? A PIC/SIC checkout for those that operate under Part 91.

I would assume the Private, Instr, Comm, CFI....etc are all Part 91 checkrides.

Wouldn't those be Part 61/141 checkrides?

I would agree that it's for Part 91 operators

I failed my Comm. first time around, but I still put 'no' for that question.

I think ya'll are over thinking it. If you failed a checkride, put yes.

Part 61...you are correct, my bad.

Part 91, 135, 121...I think that is what they are asking for....

Are there any recency of experience requirements for Scenic? I haven't flown in a while, but I'm getting current again and would like to work there.

They want IFR currency, for sure.....and probably expect at least 6 months of work experience.

They don't have a website yet; you could send them a resume but it does help to know someone there...
