Hey thanks so much for posting this! I wish I could attend (I'll be finishing CFI training at ATP around the 28th). Good luck to those who attend! If anyone knows about any other job fairs, please keep posting.

I have worked as a consultant with several airline executives. Recently one of them told me Korean Airlines was sending three executives to a Chicago job fair to interview highly-qualified pilots. I guess they are looking for furloughed or retired airline pilots. Do you think this is the job fair he was talking about?

For any UAL furloughees wanting to attend, please call your MEC furlough coordinator for free admission. Your union has paid for your ticket to attend (applies to United only).

Honestly, if you're worried about 500 pic you're probably not competitive (sorry to be full of doom and gloom). I would say the average competitive app at Delta (without knowing someone) is in the 1500-3000 pic range.. I could be wrong.

I am signed up for this job fair. First time for me. What happens at these? I am focusing on Delta and am wondering what I need to do to stand out? Got the resumé polished. Got the clothes. (nice business casual, but with a tie ready and a blazer).
Do you just stand in line at a table and hand them the resumé? Is it kind of an impromptu interview?
Tips? Suggestions?
