Does anyone know if the 250 PIC is a 'hard' number? Most of my time is CFI time, so unfortunately my actual PIC time as calculated by airlineapps.com is only around 200.

I don't really want to go out and spend a couple thousand dollars to rack up another 50 hours PIC if i don't HAVE to. Trust me, i'd love the flying, but i really don't have the funds!!

Are you not PIC everytime you go up and teach? I find it hard to believe if you meet the mins and you have been teaching you dont meet that requirement.

I logged all my time as PIC.

61.51(e)(3) states an instructor may log flight time as PIC when that individual is instructing.

If I'm wrong then I'm wrong. It's inked and I can't erase it.

Is the ATR more difficult to learn? I keep hearing buzz that the CRJ's are easier.
