American Eagle to hire

You aren't all quashing my dreams of living and working out of Chicago are you? I heard there would be some openings there, and I already have a job commuting, and don't want to make a lateral move from one carrier to another if there is little to gain from it. I interview shortly and was hoping ORD would be on the table.

Got a rejection e-mail...interviewed on the 25th. I'm pretty bummed; I was looking forward to SJU on the ATR and joining the Eagle family. Looks like a great place to be. Just wanted to let you guys know that the boards have started reviewing application packets, so hopefully it won't be much longer for those that have already interviewed.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your total, PIC and multi when you applied? What are they asking for these days?
BTW, it was funny to see the President of the airline complain for the past 5 years about the expense of his highly senior pilot group, then tout that same experience level at the Congressional hearings on Colgan and now to be seeking to kick to all those pilots to the curb.

Over my last 7 years here I have seen some of my friends who had spotless records, outstanding flight time etc. not make it past the Captain's review board. I know it sucks and it's not fair, but in some cases the applicant has nothing to do with it, try to keep your head up.
