Go Jet
Is Go Jets currently hiring? If so are they hiring Capitans?
For anyone flying there, How is QOL, are you worried about the merger?
Skip the hatefest, heard it all before. I would appreciate any relevent info.

I have a buddy who is a Captain at GoJet. Last time I spoke with him a few weeks ago they were planning to hire some FO's some time this year, but no Captains. Don't know when the hiring is supposed to begin, and have no idea if the merger will matter at this point.

Hi!
I'll do this and save everyone else the trouble, and to help this thread from turning to crap:
"Go to GoJets if you need to: If you are furloughed, out of work, you need to support your family somehow. ALPA supports going to GoJets, so don't worry if that's what you decide to do."
"If you go to GoJets, you will never, ever get another flying job again, as there will always be guys in hiring positions at every airline who remember how GoJets screwed of the TSA guys. If you leave GoJets, your career is over."

Isn't GoJets under their own contract? I suspect that since most companies hire through the HR department and most flight ops management types aren't heavy pro union anyway, their threat rings hollow. ALPA has been trying to intimidate GoJets to honor their possible upcoming strike, when doing so would be a violation of the GoJet contract as I understand it.
This is a company with two pilot groups and two separate contracts. Sounds more like, albiet a less than stellar contract, the union at GoJets has found a way to work with management to improve their CBA, while Prater keeps poking them in the eye, trying to look like the tough guy he'll never be.
