Also, to all the hopefuls out there. Most know this but it's "Delta Air Lines" 3 words, not Delta Airlines. Don't be the next in a long string of folks to goof that one up.
Just another friendly reminder to go over the entire app with a fine tooth comb. Details such as these will make a difference.

You are proof positive that there is not a "type" of qualifications that they only hire. It is self evident that you need to submit your stuff and keep on working at networking.

That's my take too.
To Mesabah, I believe the question on the App has a box to check if you were a Delta intern. I believe my friend is checking that box, and then elaborating in the "comments" box that it was actually NWA, etc. The trick is to get your info through the computer filter without appearing misleading. I believe this is probably the best method.
I would feel better for his sake and yours, Mesabah, if one of us had the ability to call and ask this question on your behalf. Unfortunately, I've been unable to dig up a name/number as they're purposely staying behind closed doors. I completely understand though as I used to work in a pilot recruiting dept and couldn't imagine having 12000+ pilots calling on behalf of their friends. Good luck Mesabah, and let me know if you've got any other info.

Take my point of view with a grain of salt, but I that is my take on the mindset of the pilots that are "Delta" and will be the ones doing the leg work on choosing our future pilots.

Like I have said, and it is my take. You were a NWA Intern NOT a Delta Intern. Little tricks like this may not seem too cute to those that are filtering though the apps. Just my own personal advice. Just like if you worked for NWA prior to the merger, it is NWA not DAL. If you are working for Airlink, it is now DCI so you are a DCI pilot and that is not mincing facts.

Without doing it this way there is no way (I'm told) to input oneself as a former intern. Obviously he does not want to be perceived as "cute" or "tricking" the recruiters, hence my asking this question. Do you know whom I could contact to get the horse's mouth answer on his behalf as an active DAL pilot. A PM would be great
Thanks!

Does anyone know how DAL is going to handle those who passed the panel interview but did not pass one of the computerized test in 08? I was advised by the 08 hiring staff that they bring you right back in after six month (if still hiring) for a preferential interview and to retake the tests. Any thoughts?

I don't think that many bypass guys have shown interest in returning. Last I heard was 46.
