Any word on the lead time from getting the invitation email to the date of the interview? I’m sure as time passes a more predictable time table will emerge. And that’s the only way we’re getting the invite, purely via email correct?
Getting all my due diligence completed so when the invite comes I can reduce the panic mode a little. Thanks. |

Per the CVG base visit today: First interviews were held today. Aug 2 class will be all bypass, 16th will have the first true newhires.

Regarding the flow thru, DAL management is not very fond of this program.
First, the program is difficult to plan for because Compass and Mesaba can hold line pilots for 90 days, management and linecheck pilots for up to 9 months. When Delta hires, they hire to have out on the line as soon as possible. Second, DAL does not interview these folks and thus has no say in the quality of the product. (I'm not slamming the pilots of Compass or Mesaba, no disrespect meant, just stating the reality of the program). Management has acknowledged that some of those pilots do not have a college degree and thus will end up working for DAL. They're not happy about this. However, future pilots hired by Compass and Mesaba will be required to have degrees. |

Management already has their 100 seat jet. The Type carries up to 122 seats. It is currently restricted to 76 seats. Somehow the political center of gravity will have to change for our union to show any interest in unity and restoration. |

I haven't heard of any Mesaba pilot yet getting called outside of the flow. I've been told after we reach the flow limit then they will start calling XJ pilots for interviews outside the flow, same with compass.
Not sure but I think over 1500 TPIC is the trigger right now. Not getting my hopes up since there's probably 10k apps on file, but it's nice to dream. |
