Hi everyone, just a questions, does army helo time look good to Delta? Does that help things out to get noticed? Also, if your still in the reserves, does that weigh negatively or positivity with Delta?

Also don't show up to a GM plant to meet with someone driving a Ford rental car.

BTW, it would be funny to be the UPS man assigned to delivering packages to FedEx's hq.

Question, about the college requirement. Will they waive it if you weren't raised in the U.S., read UK here, UK military experience (tanks), 20 years of living in the US, a perfect record, well loved, die hard American, thousands of hours of part 121 PIC with a majority as a LCP time, time as an ALPA committee chairman, and a couple of years at AirTran?

I mean they're school system isn't exactly the same as ours and some folks come from the school of hard knocks and, not surprisingly, seem to excel.

FtB;
Last time that depended on the school. In Europe most of the colleges are three year programs and that nixed the possibility for an interview for one of my friends. The words came right out of the New Hire Lead pilot's mouth.

Now if you notice the wording of what type of four year degree is required, it has changed. It no longer states that the Bachelor degree needs to be approved my the US Board of Education. It just states accredited or something like that, which in reality is a huge change.

I have called an AME for an appointment, but can't get in for a week or two. I suppose getting the medical will allow me to submit, I was just surprised I was emailed by Delta prior to hitting "submit".

Did anyone else have this happen?

Well, that means that they want you but your application was incomplete. Where do you live that you need to wait 2 weeks for an AME appointment? You should be able to find one willing to do it tonight.

You're in a good position if they sent you this email but you need to get with the program. Get all of your FAA types, certificates, and medical squared away before applying somewhere. The more boxes you can check and squares you can fill, the better your application is.

Remember, there can be no break in employment. A friend of mine got the same letter. He found the mistake. Updated his app. They called him the next morning for an interview.

Delta counts helo time. They prefer Navy helo time, because naval aviators are better looking. So grow a moustache or something.

During my interview, I was up front about my reserve commitment. No problem.

Concur, of the 9 military members in my newhire class, 7 were/are reservists. Delta is very proud of its military members and goes out of its way to support them.

Mustache not necessary, its overkill Naval Aviators are sexy enough without it. Got to give those poor Zoomies a chance at the ladies.

How is Delta in regards to reserv duty during your first year on probation? I owe my unit a short deployment that I really don't want to back out of.
