It's the very last question of the Addendum.

Its an Air Force term when you graduate UPT.

Hope so!

Any idea what the chances of an interview are without an internal rec?

Al,

I didn't think I knew a soul here at DAL, and therefore had no internal recs and was hired last time around anyway. I say it like that, because I could have done much more networking than I did. As it turns out, I have run into many guys I flew with in previous lives, and the kicker is that one of the VPs in the Company was a college drinking buddy! DOH. How bout that one for an example of crappy networking/keeping in touch with friends on my part. Getting hired here can, has, and will happen for those without internal recs too!

YMMV, and Good luck to all...Philly

Thanks Philly.

I do know some DAL guys and I've even flown with a couple who have yet to accept recall. However, it's been a very long time and I don't know them very well.

Here's hoping the call comes anyway.

I'd recommend you get in touch with them and say hello. They did the same thing when they got hired and will know you need the same kind of help.

Thanks for the reassurance, but what's the winging process?

During INDOC, the new class has a dinner and social. During that time, you get your Delta Wings from the Chief Pilot. If you are a legacy/family guy, there is a special introduction of the family members and yourself (ah, isn't that special (cheesy Churchlady impersonation).

Hey! Where's my dinner? :p:D

It is nice gesture for you and your wife or husband to attend. It was a very enjoyable evening that makes Delta, "Delta."

If you meet all of Delta's qualification my understanding is you will be getting a call.
