I have heard the AS rumor heating up again as well. It seems to be hot and heavy in the training centers. I had one INS tell me that is why they stopped hiring so quickly. Rumor of course.
I called a few buds at AS and it is the typical when not if when it comes to DAL.
On a side note HI has gotten very attractive to a lot of airlines not that it has one of the four HND slots.

Depends. If AMR goes after AS I assume we would have a compelling case for the government. See AS does the Lion's share of our feed to our Asian gateway flights in SEA, and PDX, and they do a bunch in LAX. Without them those routes would have issues. To me that is the biggest reason DAL has.
HI is a small operation and there is little they could do about that one, but try to take the HND slot. I am sure that the lawsuit over the LGA slots will determine the outcome of DAL going after HI. (Just my guess)

BTW, newhires will he going to the 320 in MSP/DTW. Both fell 50+ FOs short of the 22.D.3 on the Dec 2010 projected category list.
