I am a Mesaba pilot. I haven't accepted a class date yet. It is my understanding that since I chose not to go to the earlier classes my seniority at Pinnacle will be for the date of class I can take. So in this case you will be above me on the Pinnacle seniority list as a Sept. hire.
however, this may not be the case whenever SLI comes through. apparently a draft for SLI that the Colgan/Pinnacle/Mesaba Mec's have been working on stipulates a date and everyone hired on after said date will not go ahead of people on the list prior to it, even if it goes relative seniority. This will be ok for you too though because there will be more Colgan new-hires in the future than at Pinnacle.
Also try not to think you are getting screwed, you just got a job at a a regional with a long term CPA, at a good point in the industry.

And as far as the Mesaba furloughs go the majority of them were furloughed from airline's prior to Mesaba. So I would say most of their original hire dates at a regional were in 07.

what if your head rolls around and your arms swing wildly while you walk into the interview? What if you try to marshall cars in the parking lot outside? What if you wear sunglasses in the cockpit so it makes you look like youre just casually lookig out the window when, in fact, you're actually dreaming about unicorns?
pinnacle pay will hopfully be going up...once they get all the lists together...it will be what mesaba's scale is..or better..
