sorry to burst any bubbles, but in an internal weekly memo they stated, 40 off the street pilots had been hired, we hired 60 furloughed Mesaba pilots, which leaves 28 spots left for the 128 pilots they planned to hire through the end of the year. wishing you all the best of luck, i know personally some CA's that are leaving next month for Jetblue, hopefully more hiring will continue this spring.

Can anyone answer the following juicy questions?:
*If I'm not married and don't have a "significant other", can I choose a sibling to be eligible for unlimited pass travel, as parents are?
*What is the "activation fee" for pass travel?
*Are we eligible for buddy passes for friends upon completion of training? If so, how many per year and what do they cost?
*Is per diem paid during training or just base salary?
*What total salary, on average, can a first year F/O on reserve expect to make, after taxes? Be honest.
*How many legs per day can you expect to fly? Do they usually return to base or are they mostly overnights?
I don't mean to sound greedy, I'm just curious. Thanks, kiddos.

If you are on reserve, especially in DTW plan on flying 5 legs a day and plan on working everysingle day you are on reserve (5 in a row) expect to be gone a bit. These things will improve with the new contract but the one thing that doesnt improve is our schedulers inefficient way of scheduling people. Also, until it is fixed, plan on being junior manned and extended 1 to 2 times per month. Not trying to discurage you but until we get a new agreement in place here and these things are fixed just being honest.
