Fun winter times ahead for brand new CA's being based in JFK with newhire FO's!

Actually many of the JFK FO's will be Mesaba furloughs. Many of them have at least 2 winters in the airplane under their belts.

Vacancy just came out - just an update for mesaba new hires, unfortunately only half of the JFK FO spots were filled leaving about 25 or so spots for new hires. Hopefully there will be a couple more vacancies soon as I know many of you are from the MSP area i am sure. The only good news from that is that if you are near the top of that 25 you may get a line or weekends off on reserve at least.

Does anyone have an email and/or a phone number in the HR/hiring department over at Pinnacle? thanks!

Don't bother, they won't reply, pick up, or call you back.

First batch of XJ refugees hit the line this week (OE). Look for us in our blue uniforms...not joking - M&H is running very slow.

Just a heads up, after your initial call you will be instructed to meet a "Representative" at a crossroad near Dockery Plantation, in Mississippi about one hour from headquarters in MEM, at midnight. There you will be met by a large man (the "Representative") who will take your hand in his and "bless" you with the skills needed to fly at Pinnacle. The "Representative" will show you a few approaches in a 200 sim and then return the sim to you, the "Candidate", giving you mastery of the equiptment. This is, in effect, a deal with "The Company", any apparant mirroring of the legend of Faust or Robert Johnson is considered coincidence in the eyes of "The Company", "The Company" will therefore incur no legal liabilities. Representation by the Law offices of Daniel Webster is strictly forbidden. In exchange for your "committment, you will be able to master the CRJ-200/900 for which you may become poor and potentially famous (see: infamous).

Welcome! Not surprising about the uniforms thing one bit, but hey, oh well.

What did you think of the training, as compared to Mesaba's?

I applied not too long ago as an off-the-street, non-furlough to both Colgan and Pinnacle via Airline Apps. I was one of the 60-80 people that were in the Mesaba hiring pool since January of 2009...

I was hoping that since Pinnacle was picking up Mesaba furloughs, they might also re-examine poolies.

Has anyone in a similar situation received a call or email, "Dear John" or otherwise?

Thanks in advance; a buddy of mine is a senior FO at Mesaba and indicated be thought there were good things to come for the three companies since the mergers/acquisitions...I took his advice and applied, but haven't heard any news since (It's been nine days).

I can't believe we are going to work in XJ colors. I'll be on the line next week. See you guys there!
