2 questions for anybody that knows and wishes to answer.....

1) do they hold classes on saturdays and sundays as well?.....or do we get the weekends off?

2) which are the different airlines folks have jumpseat priviledges with each of the 3 (chq, repub, shuttle)? I'm sure that'll be covered in class......i just needed the info for planning purposes.

Thanks! Cheers.....

When I was a new hire we had weekends off and I got a week off between systems and sim, when I got recalled we didn't, in fact we did 6 on, 1 off 5 on during systems. My oral was 2 hours before a sim lesson. (which in hind sight I should have fatigued out of because i was mentally spent and we had the late sim slot) That was CHQ. At the same time the RW guys did weekends off. Guess it really depends. We had to do a late Saturday night in IND to to doors training on the 145 at the hangar. I believe the 170's have a door trainer at the TC, I could be wrong though. You'll get a weekend off at some point, but I wouldn't bank on it. Might as well get used to it unless you go to GRR.

As far as JS for other airlines I haven't found one that we can't ride on yet. You will get travel bennies for the code shares your base flies for, plus F9. But I use AirTran and United quite often and obviously CHQ flies for neither.

I am in the Mar 1 S5 class. There is supposed to be 32, but they are still working to get to that number as of yesterday. There are a bunch of guys interviewing today that should fill the class. We were told that there would be a RP class in June. At least 5 more classes currently scheduled for S5. There is a March 30 class for CHQ.

Just out of curiosity, did they mention any classes for the Republic certificate or just S5 and CHQ?
