He said we are over staffed by..."over 500". How much over? He didn't say and I didn't ask because we were talking about the early out program. BUT...obviously, any early outs will help suck up the 'over 500' surplus staffing we have now, plus the incoming 717's, MD90's, etc. will require more pilots.
So, while I doubt Management is looking to furlough anyone, I seriously doubt they will replace the early outs, one for one, I just hope they hire some new pilots, and the sooner the better, for everyone.
I was in the DTW pilot lounge earlier today, there were 5 Retirement Photos hanging in the hall, not one was a 747 Capt., there was one for a A330 F/O and several A320 Capts. though. I did talk to several 777 Capts. none of which are even considering going early. You would have to be in your final 39 weeks to break even, money wise, so while some might jump on it now, that will only mean less retirments next year, as those guys were going then anyway, they just left a little early.

I am looking to find out where I can put in my "legacy" connection status with Delta on the airline apps site...there doesn't seem to be a specific spot for it. Any one with prior experience, please let me know. Thanks gents.

Nothing there, seems like you have to have someone else there vouch for your relationship, walk in resume etc.
