Default RAH hIRING/Upgrades

Is there any news or rumors of RAH hiring or upcoming upgrades in the forseeable future?

Wrong Forum..

Mods please move to "Regional" or "Hiring News" as RAH has been found by DALPA to not fly any non-regional aircraft.

ughhh,

hiring was rumored to get going again later this month. We are really short in every seat right now. [RW (republic) certificate is probably not going to see hiring right away as they just did a voluntary displacement to shuttle from there.] I imagine we'll see another upgrade bid in September once the IMSL is in place and we can afford to take FO's offline again, but don't take that as gospel but rather one guy's opinion who is out there everyday and see's how short we are. We also have some 190's coming that should open up some movement.

I thought the 190s were going to Frontier, and what does the IMSL have to do anything?

190's cannot go to F9 unless the IBT allows them too, which they will not until one list and contract are done. IMSL has a ton to do with it.

1.) 190's cannot move to the F9 certificate until it's in place. End of August I believe.

2.) Many of the YX guys who were active at acquisition time are senior enough to hold some 13/145 CA slots in MKE if they chose to return. The company would love to upgrade some people without having to take FO's offline.

3.) Once the list is in place RAH will have furloughs again, and I imagine they are going to want to motor through that list fairly quickly. Apparently longevity is going to be negotiated here shortly. In the end that's probably what will determine how many guys come back. I imagine this process will not take very long, but in the eyes of the bean counters any upgrade that doesn't require two training events is a good thing.

4.) Upgrade time is not going to take 7-10 years. It's just not. Do a little more than 0 seconds of research and you can do the math pretty quickly. 2-3 is still pretty realistic. I expect to see the August seniority list update to have a decent amount of names leaving on it again. Once the majors start running regular classes this place won't able to keep people here. Sometime early-mid next year I expect the list to start moving, with 2013 being a big year for movement. If BB can keep the doors open until then everyone here should have upgraded and 1000 PIC by 2014 and be ready to get out.

What about recalls at RAH, any numbers for that situation? Where are they going (company, base)?

[I see the above post happened while I was typing. Still, wondering about recall #'s vs hiring.]

until the IMSL is officially in place, RAH isn't "recalling". They have been hiring a few ex Midwest guys as new hires and allowing them to keep their IMSL place. Right now you'd get LGA shuttle or MKE CHQ. No hiring on RW at this time but that is always subject to change.
