Sweet...why not just have all airlines raise their mins to 5-7K and completely exclude ex military guys? Did you know that mil conversions exist because we log time differently? That half hour taxi...guess what, I log NOTHING. Pretty common for mil pilots to log 300 to 500 hrs/year. Most of that is under some pretty austere conditions. You paid your dues, I've paid mine. I'll never argue that a mil guy is more qualified simply by way of being mil. I will argue that he should have at least an equal shot though.

Who told you it would be into 2012? There are classes just about every 2 weeks, and that goes into April supposedly. They will let you stay in the pool, BUT you will lose close to 40 numbers of seniority, and I guarantee you are the last one they call for a class...probably in March. Depending on the China trip, I would think this one over pretty good.

I just applied last night and after i sent my resume in and application it I immediately received an email to take an assessment test. I just wanted to verify is this the previsor everyone is talking about? If so do they normally send it out right away? After reading comments it seems like they review your info first and then send it out. Or is there another test coming? The reason i ask is because i do not think i have a shot in---- but i applied because the only way you are guaranteed not to get it, is when you do not apply.

That is the test you need to take it as soon as possible. It is a hard test have some one smart with you for the math portion. The rest is psych questions.

It is automatic now. everyone who applies takes the precor test. Used to be only those selected for interviews but that has changed recently. I hear there are approx 40 in the pool right now. if you take the precor and then it says something like "someone from HR will be in contact" it means you passed. Anything else and its thanx but no thanx the way I understand it from HR people.

Don't forget to let them know you'll work for 2/3 of legacy pay rates.

Does being carefully reviewed mean the same thing as in contact? And thanks for the help.
