Dynamic Aviation
I keep seeing these guys posting places for king air jobs. Any info on them? I did a search here but all links found kept going to a vacant page saying to contact the administrator.
Any idea what they are looking for etc?

We (I say that as a 4+ year dynamic pilot) are ALWAYS hiring. Honestly, hiring time range anywhere from 200 hours TT (yes i really do mean Two HUNDRED, you just need to go to 2 certain schools) to 5000+.
Most are being hired for Oconus work being deployed over-seas, so you must be able to hold a security clearance and legally able to work in the US.
Its a very rapidly growing company so response's can be somewhat slow. Must apply through the website (sorry, no way around this) and then wait. They typically do a phone interview or 2. Then if all goes well they schedule an in-person interview and a sim eval. If all goes well they will give you an offer.
Pay for the ISR deployed guys is nice and i just heard they are doing a 60 on/60 off rotation.
For the non ISR pilots, FO pay is about $12/hr flight rate and $15/hr ground. No direct hiring into the left seat. Upgrade times can be anywhere from a couple of months to a year or more depending on need. Upgrade times are typically 1200hours.
A&P rated pilots are HIGHLY sought after.

Yes, 98% of our operations are dual pilot's. Training has slowly transitioned out of the single pilot operations mind-set and gone to dual crews for everything. Their are only a few handfuls of pilots that are still approved for single pilot operations, these are typically all locally based pilots.
Training is all done in-house, i'm not sure how they do the pay during your training. Their is also a yearly re-currency training for the pilots as well.

For the overseas jobs, is turboprop (kingair/Q400) time required, or does turbojet time work too (along with a security clnc)? Following a 60 day rotation, is the next 60 truly time off or are there admin duties that would require you to remain in VA? This is the former aviation division of Blackwater no?

I'm sure Thomas will have good info soon, but I can tell you that others I know for the oconus ops were hired without turboprop time and they had no admin duties (unless it was time for recurrent) while conus, but this was for some different companies doing the same type mission overseas.

No admin duties during your 60 off. We are currently short pilots, so their is the option of doing conus flights during those 60 days if you want. Your 60 days off are not payed days off.
For the isr position, you can be based anywhere, you dont have to be in vbw. Yall get the easy peazy lemon squeezy pay jobs... i get to kill skeeters at 300'agl at night for a couple of bucks. Lol
Turboprop time isnt required, i believe it is preferred, but just bc you do or dont have the time doesnt gaurantee you a job or not.
Now. If they go to hire you for something other than ISR, throw that all out the window as it all changes, A LOT!
No affiliation with blackwater.

To clarify, ISR department does hire direct entry captains. You are not going to ISR with 200 hrs though. The rotation is transitioning to 60 days on and 60 days off. Your travel days are included in your off days, as are your recurrency requirements. Once a year you do between a week to two weeks of training at Bridgewater. We have Dash 8, BE 200 and 90s in the ISR dept. The living conditions are austere and varied from project to project. You have to be able to sell the fact that you know what you are getting into.

A couple more questions: Does anybody at the company do the ANG thing? Not sure how Guard units would handle someone being gone 2 months at a stretch, but I'm interested to hear if anyone's tried it. With regards to the "deployed" locations, I can probably guess where most of the action is, but are there locations elsewhere (Asia, S. America, etc.)?
