I sure hope their hiring begins in earnest. I'm sure everything there isn't peachy but from the outside looking in, it seems like one of the last classy places to be. And one of the few places where a merged list doesn't haunt the pilot group. (Jet America was merged in 1987 and I imagine any hurt feelings have long been smoothed over.)

What's the scoop on Alaska's fleet growth? I thought I read somewhere that we were growing net 8 planes in '12, 9 planes in '13 and 6 planes in '14. When I look at the fleet page on Alaskaair.com it only shows a net gain of 3 for '12. So what's the plan?

My guess is that unless you don't have "several" buddies or family members flying for them then it is going to be tough to get an interview... Could be wrong though. Good luck to all that apply!
