Right now, and for the foreseeable future, college is a discriminator used by HR to separate the floor-to-ceiling pile of applicants that will await the major that starts hiring. It isn't universal, but darn near a baseline requirement, if only because 12,000+ resumes are degree holders.

Have you looked at moving into heavier, better paying corporate iron? Usually, much better QOL and pay/benefits. You should have the quals.

Good luck, Brother. Seriously. We're all in this together, right?

At 45 and a near full maintenance and flight career, I'm still trying to figure out what's next. So much for joining TWA in the 80's, and expecting that to be my retirement job, huh? Anyone looking for a dusty ISR pilot from the Sandbox that knows which side of a wrench to use? Anyone? Hello? Beuller?? LOL!

I'm thinking like Galaxy Flyer. A heavier corp a/c, with longer trips and hopefully more time at home. Or someone could buy a few Beavers with me, and we'll start a tour op in SE Alaska?? Some day, I hope this gets easier.

I'm no businessman and I can hardly change a lightbulb, but I'm willing to learn
The above was one of my dream jobs when I started flying!

A righteous dream, indeed, USMC!! Not much on money, but sure was fun! Some day I'll go back, maybe I'll see you there!
