Thank you. Do they fly for DL and United out of ATL or just United? How long of a wait do you predict for ATL being senior?

Right now ATL is all United. My guess would probably a few months if things keep moving.

Default Republic

I flew at Chautauqua, Shuttle and upgraded to Republic. I'm a 7 year Captain upgrade (EMB170) but I could have upgraded to CHQ (EMB145) around year 4. I decided to wait for the EMB170.

Training at CHQ is the most rigorous. You still have to build the airplane there. Short legs, 4-5 legs a day. Shuttle has the best flying IMHO. Longer legs. Bigger territory but ...... some of the check airmen at Shuttle are a$$&*%$. Republic has the best training department IMHO but you fly more legs and you tend to stay in a region.

Reserve sucks! Probably true everywhere. Once you get a line and you work out the commutes its a job. You go to work then go home. The pilot groups are pretty good at all three. Management is hit and miss.

There hasn't been any movement over the last 4 years at any regional unless it was shutting down or merging. Just like 06-07 I expect things will pick up and upgrades will come sooner and sooner.

Some guys will ***** if you give them $100K and year and 20 days off a month. Take it for what its worth.

Thank you! Most informative and positive take on Republic I have seen in a while. Seems like most of the RAH pilots on here do a whole lot of b88c8*** and moaning.

I heard Republic was (or is) offering a $20,000 bonus paid over the first two years. That's an extra $833/month. In my book, this would certainly alleviate the low 1st-year pay issue. Anybody else heard of this bonus? Was it short lived or is it something they are thinking about doing? Their website right now says only $5,000.
