Does anyone know how many FOs they are looking to hire for the November class? I sent in my paper app earlier in the month but haven't heard anything so I guess I'll be in the pile for next one.

Anyone know of anything else I should do in the meantime? I'd love to get on with them.

No clue. We had a big FO class a couple months ago. If your gunning for a Van FO spot all you need is com inst. I would suggest cmel so you can upgrade to the B1900, the pay is much better.

I have my CMEL and 50 multi. Plus I have my CFI, not sure if that makes a difference though.

Unless you have 1,500 hours you will start as a Van FO.

Any idea of upgrade time on the Dash 8, or are the Capt's all lifers?

Corvus is a seperate certificate, they are 121. Guessing around 6-7 years, but I don't know much about them yet, try on the other thread.

Do you know how long it would take to upgrade to the B1900 SIC and how much better the pay is? I currently have a CMEL with an instrument rating and will graduate college this summer with CFI and CFII. I will be low time, estimating 250 TT with 26.9 multi.

My class was in March. Hit the line in April, took a couple shifts (June and July) off to go commercial fishing, because Van FO rate is 66/day. Took 1900 ground in August, started flying the 1900 in October. The 1900 FO rate is $40/hr, 60 hr min garuntee. Seems like 4-8 months is average time it takes.

On average, how many hours per month can I expect to fly with them?

Depends on base, equipment, time of year, etc. Anywhere from 60-90 hours average.

Unless things have changed hagland works a 15 on 15 off schedule in the bush. Frontier/artic circle 20 days on 10 days off in a row. And era aviation was a typical 121 operating schedule (whenever they need you) not alot of days off in a row. I know nothing on raven they have changed there name so many times. I'm assuming raven is now era aviation in anchorage. All on all I enjoyed my time there.
