I agree they were fast. I was referring to the "only 6700' long" remark.

6700 ft long isn't short by any means for the Q4, hell we fly it into Santa Rosa which is less than 5500ft...but in BLI you def don't want to float by any means...esp if the Q4 is heavy.

Used to fly the A320 into SNA, runway there is 5701', plus the dang arrival and mountains made it that much more interesting....

I don't fly a Dash 8 but I'm pretty sure they can land and exit the runway in about a third of that.....

Of course it can...assuming you're on speed, with minimum float, moderate braking...etc.

I'm not saying by any means that it's a "Special" airport like SNA is, hell, Horizon's had a Q4 go off the end of the runway in SEA and GEG because they weren't paying attention in reduced vis ops.

Megawhacker eats up much more runway than its predecessors.
