After four and a half years of effort, your Negotiating Committee and Horizon Air management negotiators, with the assistance of the National Mediation Board, came to an agreement in principle on all open items. The next task is to write the requisite language to finalize a tentative agreement. This will take several weeks of intensive work by both parties to produce the final document. Once the tentative agreement is finished, it will be sent your home and made available online. About one week later, road shows will commence where we will answer any questions about the agreement. We encourage everyone to plan on attending at least one of the road shows.
Let's hope that it is worth voting on. There better be improvements to reserve (switching from AM to PM), scheduling, QOL, pay (block or better), scope, job security, ect.....
I have my fingers crossed. Anyone want to bet if 401K goes from 10% to 6%?

It still has to go by Jeff's desk. Not holding my breath he will actually go by what his negotiators have agreed to, hasn't before.
Too bad that we have to negotiate with people from management side that haven't actually been given the authority to negotiate.
If it gets to us for a vote I will comb through it for a while and will then pick our union representative's brains during the roadshow.

If 401k goes to 6%, I better get something worthwhile in return, ie more days off, etc. Also, what is in the cba about farming out the jet flying because that's exactly what management wants to do. Management may as well just give in to a new agreement, and then outsource all of our flying. Management hates you.

My bet on what the TA will read (if it gets there):
1. There will be a pay cut. That is clear.
2. Better schedules and flexability in the schedules.
3. 401K change
4. min guarantee change. Lower.
5. Block or better
6. minimum staffing per a/c and a definition of adequete staffing.
7. they will still be able to swap form AM-PM but we will get an extra hour of credit.
8. Profering for open trips for reserves.
9. Long call out reserve 12 hr.
10. part time lines permenant
I hope for but won't happen:
1. not allowing people to pick up open/premium with people on furlough. People are so greeedy.
There is a chance of:
1. pay reates for upto 90-100 seaters (they belong at a major)
2. scope allowing another airline to do our jet flying. (I know everyone that flys for someone else is hoping for that)
3. pay guarantee ( for cancelled trips)
The probability:
1. JP will say F this we are back to the table.

Mgmt loves us. Remember the pizza and movie for last christmas. Expect 6-8 weeks for delivery. Aren't they nice. This year I bet we get the expired egg salad sandwichs in the crew meal machines.

This agreement in principle was done in mediation, Jeffy had to agree to it before any announcement would or could be made. It is now up to the pilot group to give it the up or down vote.
