While we're casting stones there is a certain airline that calls fss for a clearance while boarding at a non-radar uncontrolled airport; while we are starting up. There's a lot of knuckleheads out there.
I don't know if your situation was malicious, but in case you don't know, you can call for your routing to brief it then call back when number one for a release time.

No I don't think it was malicious at all; just pilots with their heads up their... And no they tied up the airspace; the only way we could get out was to wait ten minutes for them or depart VFR, and I'm not the only one to experience the exact situation.

So did Alaska give up on giving you guys ERJ's and just jump straight to buying you A320's instead?

Will they want to spend 2bill on VX plus assume there debt and buy over 1bill worth of E175's... Or will the a319 be the gap they need instead of the E175...

Unlikely. For one, VX only has 10 A319's, and they don't really fill the same niche as the E175. Acquiring VX would be a move to dilute their rather high exposure to the SEA market, and keep JetBlue from significantly outsizing them while providing a similar product. There could also be an opportunity here to intimidate the Alaska pilots and FA's. After their overwhelming success with QX pilots and FA's, it seems AAG may be looking for more cost cutting opportunities (such as McGee Air Services and maybe this).
Nonetheless, the main idea behind getting E175's was to replace Q400's on existing routes with a couple new routes sprinkled in. I doubt acquiring VX changes that substantially, if at all.

You mean the ones with AG still on the tail? I hope not. That would be the ultimate F U from Alaska to us, after a long period of significant F U's.

Financial news said AK/VA pilots on one list, all at AK pay. Airbus leases expire 2020 and not sure if keeping them or replacing with 737s...
