I wear a 17 3/4 neck shirt with 32 waist...if you think you are swimming in your shirt you should see mine. I have called and asked for a tapered shirt...the response I got was that it already is.
So I spend about 15 $ bucks a shirt.

Tapered the sides...
Bring in the sleeves length and girth
Epelittes bar holder things, shortened
And then move up the pockets...

My lady I go to is a sewing ninja

After all that...I at least look like a professional.

Default Pilot shirt fitting

So, is the blue Van Heusen Aviator (the one you can get at retailers/Amazon) the exact JetBlue shirt? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00YM...heusen+aviator

Does B6 allow to use a custom alternative so long as the color and style matches?

I enjoy swimming in my shirt. I look classy and stay cool and to boot no need to wear a tight tie due to the fact all my buttons have come off

Any suggestions would help, the uniform store at JB University told me it was the only option, that van heusen doesn't offer a slim fit and alteration was my only choice.
Do you even lift, bro?

Fort Worth Police department starts at $43,376. Pretty sure those guys wear a uniform and are considered professionals. I get what you're saying but professionalism is not defined by a paycheck.

You missed the piont. The police don't pay to have their uniforms tailored. The taxpayer does. When they exit the cruiser they look sharp and together. If we wear ours how they come we look like potatoe.

No I totally got the point. The point is I'll act like a professional regardless of whether I bemoan that my company provides low quality, off the shelf stock uniforms that are entirely unsuitable for a 5'9" guy that knows his way around a squat rack and bench press. Or said another way, I won't use uniforms as an excuse to act unprofessional. But hey, we have programs for that. And according to my brother - an officer - they pay to have uniforms tailored. But they can deduct it of course. Oh wait... so can we.
