i really wish we had real uniforms. had better quality at colgan
Maybe this is the place to put a big order together. I guarantee there are plenty of guys here that would support it. Anyone know the folks that handle orders?

Doesn't matter if JB won't pay for them.

Guys. People have been pushing this ball up the hill for years. Over a decade. Flt ops doesn't own the uniform. Marketing does. You're a commercial.

Better solutions have been floated so many times your head will spin, only to be shot down, ignored, or just told no one cares.

Hope you have better luck

I will NEVER pay for alterations for a mandatory company uniform.

It's bad enough that they make us wear these metro-sexual clown outfits. Since we already look like clowns I really do not care if my uniform doesn't fit.

I'll wear what they tell me to wear, but I will not pay to have it fit better. That's the company's responsibility, not mine.

This exactly. Is it my responsibility if they give me a shirt that fits like a blimp? It's what they require me to wear. If they want to alter it they can pay for it.

I feel better when I wear better fitting clothes and don't look like a slob. Why comb your hair then, or even iron? The company doesn't even pay for black shoes, or good luggage, both are required.

I take the out-of-the-box Van Heusens, and my tailor tapers the sides from sleeve tip to bottom, shortens the sleeves, creates a right pocket pen slot and it's a wayyyy better shirt. I do like 3 at a time for about $40-50, note it for taxes, and I'm good for another year or two. Easy, cheap, and worth the comfortable, useful feel.

I have done the same thing as well. I wish the shirts were better quality. I am personally not a fan of the non VH shirts they mades us buy in training.

I had mine done about 4-5 years back... she cut out 10" of fabric. Her words "this is the worst shirt I've ever had to deal with".

I had to drop a small fortune to not look like a complete moron in the ill-fitting, poor quality clothes BlewJet has. The cut and quality is SO poor, my tailor told me to just throw it all away and buy better clothes... unfortunately that wasn't an option.

For a company so concerned about their image, they sure don't care to spend an extra dime on the pilot uniforms.

I also had a good laugh when we got the new new shirts... or maybe it was the new new different new shirts. Anyhow, I ordered a 17" tall tapered, and it tapered out! Showed it to one of our VPs... nadda zippo nothing.

I hate looking sloppy, but I'm done spending the cost of the shirt just to get it to fit.
