Actually we can't. Submission to concur for tailoring has been denied. I see your point about acting professional and agree... his point was looking professional.

I guess tailoring of uniforms varies from dept to dept. in my county the office picks up the tab. I assumed they were the same.

He's saying you can deduct it from your taxes, which is true.

Somebody told me they knew someone that had a Taylor make custom shirts for female pilots. In Dallas area. I'm sure they could do the same thing for male pilot shirts. Minimum order was five and shirts cost around $30 apiece I think. You pick the fabric and style.

I may look for my next shirts this way.

A cut above shirts are the best I've ever seen. Maybe we all bombard them with requests.

Well, it plays a big part!

It is a well known fact that we are compensated 30-40% below our peers.

Now how would that same officer feel about his uinform if he was only making $27,000/yr while an officer in a neighboring town made $43k/yr?

Jetblue owns my uniform. I will never pay to have it tailored to look nice for a company that has continually shown that they couldn't care less.

You either take pride in your appearance or you don't. Justify it however you want, it's a personal choice.

I'm married. I don't have to take pride in my appearance!

You either enable the company or you don't. Justify it however you want, it's a personal choice.
