Email came out today explicitly blaming ATC and no one else for the recent operational pitfalls we have been experiencing daily.

ATC now provides catering, MX and crew planning for Jetblue.

Lol. They've been behind the ATC reform push for some time.

This is such bulls#!t. It can only be true if ATC has it out for JB. Other airlines haven't been hovering below 50% on time. It's hard to look customers in the eye knowing how terrible the on time performance is. I WANT to be proud of my company's performance. Sadly, I can't.

Immediately upon showing up at the gate yesterday I was mobbed by irate passengers. Some yelling. I'm trying to explain I JUST GOT HERE and have no idea what's going on while the fervor is escalating. Sorry I can't give you a seat. No, I don't know where you bags are. No I have no idea why 4 JFK flights are delayed 3 hrs and leaving 12 minutes apart. Gird your loins, it's getting interesting out there.

A fox with the keys to the henhouse. The airlines get a seat on the board under privatization. NBAA, AOPA, and all the other alphabets are opposed. Who has the most to gain? The airlines of course.

JB for better or worse flies out of delay prone airports and stands the most to gain by improvements to ATC. Also JB not having a regional to take it on the chin delay-wise is at a disadvantage. Ex. DL and JB both have an evening departure from BUF to JFK. JB takes a delay, as does Endevour but not DL. A real inaccuracy in reporting on time if u ask me...

Blaming ATC is not the answer. There is only so much runway space in JFK and BOS. When you schedule 40 flights in a 60 minute period in the late afternoon to both airports in the middle of thunderstorm season, you can only blame yourself. Management's job is to understand the environment they work in and create solutions. JB needs to get creative, develop a long term growth plan that takes this into account and not blame ATC for delays they help create. They are in the big leagues now, play and act like it!
