No doubt we have issues—-)(lots)(—but the training?

I kind of liked not having stacks and stacks of note cards and a defined oral that wasn’t left up to the examiner to ask how many steps are on the crj pax door...I think 7 but I just said I wasn’t on weight watchers so I don’t count steps.

My only issue was they didn’t leave much room if you did need to repeat a lesson and that totally messed up the schedule.

I thought training was fair and laid back but I’m on the 190 the bus guys always seemed more stressed, if you want the full experience I think(could be wrong) SWA does it old school no AQP.

As for 80 to 90% seems a bit high but this is APC world so I won’t question that number.
I'd be gone tomorrow if given the opportunity. I feel most would. Probably closer to 50%. But 80-90 of the peopl that post on here haha

OK.....I admit I got caught up in the moment and overestimated.....sorry

You are correct....it probably is more around 50%

I wonder how close to that number Delta is at?

I’ll stop asking why on earth anybody would come here if nobody else asks why I don’t leave.

Just tired of this 💩

.............maybe it’s why we have the highest suicide rate in the industry.

The training at JB is fine. 190 or 320 its the same. Low threat and desire to have everyone to succeed.

Everyone here is getting disgruntled because we're getting worked in this CBA negotiation. The suck factor is high when everyone is now getting paid more than the JB pilot group. There won't be a ton of positive news out of this pilot group until a CBA deal is done. If we go into the summer without a CBA then its going to be a very negative place to be and get information from.

I think that you have a group that can see and compare the compensation packages and the corporate atmosphere of growth and strategic planning, of other professional pilots flying the same equipment and routes to whats happening now at JB. Its not an equitable relationship.

If you take the fact that JB pilots were pretty proud of the JB product and how things were going in terms of professional support on the line (compensation, staffing, management) and then look at how the corporate culture has refused to engage the group in a market rate CBA, leaving hiring and upgrades at the wayside and raking in $BILLIONS of profits there is now quite a bit of anxiety and anger in what our futures will be at JB.

Now. Rewind the clock to 2010 and you have ALL the Legacies rounding out a decade of paralysis. Concessionary contracts, lost pensions and furloughs rounding out the total package. They really sucked. Well, times have changed and JB now has to meet the road. They've never had to do that before.

But here's the good news. They can afford ALL of it. The pilot contract will increase non unit fuel costs by about 1%. Look at Spirit.

JB corporate management is being a problem on purpose. But they've got Wall Street watching and I think the BOD is about had enough of the games. But RH and WC can claim victory. There won't be a deal before July and thats 6 more months of labor cost savings. Congrats guys!

Agreed. I've been in 4 different airline training environments and JB's is the best. It is non threatening, and teaches you what you needs to know without trying to bog you down with the crap you don't need to know. We can complain about a lot of things, but JB training is fantastic.

The only problem is people tune out hyperbole...

Just look at the politics you listen to, the Russians the Russians, they want all of our guns, they want to kill every baby, for us or against us.

No doubt people will leave and obviously unless they are going to Fedex or are doing what they did in the 90s jumping from one major to another few are leaving Delta (if any)

Everyone is ready for that CBA man we just have to see it through and stay rational.

Yeah I think coopervane might be from ExpressJet. The Continental Express side. Great training. They hammered systems knowledge to a fault unfortunately. Coming from there to here I could see why someone would think the way he does. But how is knowing that the red line ITT on the E145XR for TO mode is 970 degrees Celsius allowable between 971-992 degrees for 90 seconds really going to help me? Isn’t that why there’s a red line? Or how is knowing the max differential negative pressure is -0.3 a real world applicable limitation? (Both were memory items).
