The only real issue I have with Irv’s site is that it was supposed to be real names only. I think that makes sense for that site, but he allows half a dozen people to post under other names. If most people have to use their real names, everyone should have to use real names.
I don't remember it ever being a requirement to use real names on his site...nobody has "to use their real names". You seem to be misinformed. Personally, I think usernames and moderation are the way to go (kind of like this site).

Real Names
03-01-2018, 11:39 PMThis is the post where I shame all you guys using screen names.
This site was created to be something different. The tagline is community / comradery. It's a lot easier to create an actual community of people if we use our real names. So far the tone on this site has been fantastic. I have only had to "moderate" one person for being inappropriate. I think people on this site get it and know that it's supposed to be different than the Bluepilot site. Using real names goes a long way in keeping the tone on the up and up. This doesn't mean we can't vent our frustrations occasionally! I have and so have others.....fairly heatedly at times.
Many of you are using your real names. Me and the others doing the same appreciate it. I've found it fun seeing people I've met on this site in the real world. It helps turn this fairly impersonal profession into one of actual recognition and acknowledgement. It allows us to be a team....whatever our objective is!
So to all you screen names out there (I know who you are but nobody else does), please consider dropping me or Scott a PM. We will change it through the admin console.
Thanks.

I'm willing to bet that you're the type who fears any sort of woke/left wing ideology, but far right idea's are fine because it's in "Team red tie". Far right, far left are both equally as scary. My point is that BP is full of far right wingers, quite a few of whom I've flown with and have had to unfortunately listen to their unsolicited political thoughts on 5+hr long flights (Yes, you're extremely oppressed making $300k/yr with 2 homes and a brand new boat and brand new cars) who are just as brainwashed as the far lefties yet refuse to believe it. I signed up for BP not knowing what it was and have steered clear of that site. JBUpilots is great, with actual conversations going on about the industry and company. I mostly lurk but there's good info both here and there. BP, if discovered by the "mainstream" press, would have a field day with it.

That’s an awful lot of judgment.

I enjoy Irv's site. I took a break for the last 6 months because I got tired of the over moderation. I still disagree with it, but it's better than here or BP. I like Irv and I kind of get it. With that said I really wish he went all real names. I bet 99% of you puss*es on here wouldn't say in person what you post online.
